Do Newly Married Couples Need to Plan for Pregnancy?

Pregnancy planning should include comprehensive health evaluations for both partners, such as screening for infections that may affect pregnancy, genetic testing (e.g., thalassemia screening), and, for women, checking rubella immunity to determine whether vaccination is needed before conception.
